The icing on the cake for your kitchen or bath is the countertop. This seemingly innocuous piece of the design puzzle can completely change the look of your entire room. Whether you are building or remodeling a whole kitchen or bathroom or just wanting to spice things up a bit by changing an existing countertop, something as simple as the countertop with your choice of material, color and edging mixed in can really make a difference.
Advanced Cabinetry offers a large selection of countertop materials to choose from. Plus, seeing as we manufacture most of the countertops ourselves in our on site shop, we offer some very unique edge treatments.
Countertop materials generally fall into the following 3 categories:
Stone/Natural These are built from solid slabs of nature made stone such as granite, quartz and marble. Countertops built from stone are subject to the variations that come from the ground they are formed in are quite striking in appearance – no two stone countertops are ever the same. Their natural beauty and durability make them a popular choice for today’s countertops.
Solid Surface Solid surface countertops are man made from different types of materials such as acrylic, polyester, plastic and even paper. Unlike natural stone products, solid surface materials are not porous. They do not require sealing and, if scratched, can normally be easily repaired with a light buffing. Solid surface materials can be routed, sanded and pieced together for some very unique designs and come with a manufacturers warranty.
We offer countertops manufactured from these fine materials:
Laminate Probably the largest options of colors and edge treatments are available by using laminate as your countertop material. Laminate tops are generally less expensive than solid surface or stone and with the wide number of textures, colors and styles available, you will definitely find something to suit your needs.
